Lash CARE tips
CLIENT PRE-CARE:
Abstain from all caffeinated beverages before a Lash appointment.
If you arrive late and/or with makeup, or build up on lashes, this will take away from the application time. Therefore you may need to book a lash fill sooner than normal.
CLIENT AFTERCARE:
You DO NOT need to wait to get your lashes wet for 24 hours following your appointment. We use a speciality bonder that allows you to shower, use saunas, hot tubs, surf, swim and workout immediately after appt.
Brush lashes frequently throughout the day, to keep them separated and looking their best. Never brush lashes while they are wet, wait for them to dry or use a hand fan/hair dryer on a cold setting to dry them.
Cleanse with approved lash cleanser everyday, more if you wear lots of face or eye makeup. Always remove makeup first using a oil free makeup remover and a saturated lint free flock. Then follow back over with cleanser and cleansing brush, rinsing very well as you go.
Pat dry under eyes, do not touch lashes with a towel, cotton rounds or q-tips. This will leave fibers in your lashes.
Animal lovers: be mindful of your face nuzzling with your pets. Their fur can easily get trapped and woven in your lashes. It’s difficult to remove without pulling on the natural lash.
Never EVER pull, tug or rub your extensions.
Never try to remove extensions yourself. We use a special gel that dissolves the bond of the adhesive and allows us to easily slide the extension off the natural lash with our specific tools and specialty lightening.
It is best to sleep on your back at night. If this is not comfortable for you, you can sleep on the edge of your pillow being careful not to smash your lashes.
We sell specialty night-time lash masks and silk pillowcases, both are recommended.
Use only eyelash extension approved eyeliner and mascara. For your convenience, we sell both of these superior products.
Keep all oil based products away from lashes. This includes oil based face serums, moisturizers, and sunscreens.
Be extremely cautious around heat sources such as lighters, candles, open fires, curling irons, ovens and stove tops. The heat from these sources will singe the lashes and inevitably end up in premature removal of that lash extension.
Refrain from touching your eyes with your hands. The oils on our skin can break the adhesive bond and cause poor retention.
Keep in mind that it is advised to wait on lash services if you fall into this window:
•3 days before OR 3 days following your menstrual cycle.
This shift in your hormones can cause premature shedding of your lashes.
